2006 Peugeot 407 Coupe NZ New V6 HDi Diesel Coupe Automatic

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder of course, but surely the swoopy lines of the 407 coupe are among the best produced from the French brand.

2.7L HDi V6 diesel produced 204 PS (150 kW; 201 hp)and 440 N·m (325 lb·ft) torque

The transmission feels remarkably smoother behind the HDi engine and the torque of the diesel delivers comparable performance and vastly improved fuel economy. The transmission utilises some technology sharing from Porsche, with its Tiptronic manual override.

The 407 coupe's suspension exhibit's a nice blend of dampening over bumps and sporty handling. Around town the ride is firm but agreeable, on the open road is where the coupe shines though. A wider track gives the coupe increased stability through corners than the rest of the 407 range, and it stays flat and sure footed. You're still aware you're driving a sizable beast, but linking bend after bend isn't too much of a worry. Steering has a nice firm feel, but could've been slightly more accurate in turn in. The braking too was a little over sensitive in traffic. the dash features attractive stitched leather

Boot space is quite big, there's enough room to accommodate a family of four's must haves for long weekend away.
